The Shivrajyabhishek Sohala 2023 ( शिवराज्याभिषेक सोहळा ) is a highly anticipated event that celebrates the rich traditions and heritage of a Maharashtra region. As we approach the year 2023,` excitement fills the air as preparations are underway for another magnificent edition of the Shivrajyabhishek Sohala at raigad fort.
This year marks the 350th anniversary of the coronation ceremony of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Which is also known as the Shivrajyabhishek Sohala ( शिवराज्याभिषेक सोहळा ) . The celebration will take place on 6th June at the historic Raigad Fort. Attracting Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj devotees from across the state.
To ensure a smooth
experience for visitors. Here are some important instructions for the Shivrajyabhishek Sohala 2023:
- Parking Arrangements: Parking facilities have been arranged in Konjhar, Valusare, and Pachad to accommodate the influx of tourists and devotees. Around 10,000 vehicles can be parked simultaneously in these areas.
- Water Supply: Considering the summer season,
arrangements have been made to provide 10,000 liters of water to the fort and
40,000 liters of water to the surrounding areas.
- Medical Centers: To ensure the well-being of
devotees, 24 medical centers will be set up, including six on the fort, six at
the base, and seven in the surrounding areas. Immediate medical assistance will
also be available on vehicles.
- Helipads and Safety: Three helipads have been
set up in the Shivsrishti area of Pachad to cater to the transportation needs
of important individuals. Firefighting equipment has been installed on the fort
and surrounding areas for safety purposes.
- Routes and Security: Two routes, Chitt Darwaja
and Nane Darwaja, are available for reaching the fort. The Ropeway route
ensures a disciplined flow of visitors. Approximately 2,000 police personnel
will be deployed in the vicinity of the Raigad Fort to ensure security during
the festival.
- Illuminated Pathways: Illuminated pathways have
been set up on the Payari route for devotees visiting the fort at night.
- To ease transportation, the State Transport
Corporation has provided 150 buses free of cost, operating from Vahantal to
Pachad Naka. Additionally, vehicle parking arrangements have been made in Konjhar,
Valusare, and Pachad, accommodating around 15,000 vehicles.
- The flag hoisting ceremony will take place at 7 AM at the fort, followed by the festival inauguration at 8:30 AM. The Shivrajyabhishek Sohala will commence at 9 AM, followed by the Shri Shivsanman Sohala at 10:30 AM and the Shivpalakhi Sohala at 11 AM.
Various equipment and resources have been made available to
manage the crowd, including sound amplification systems, public announcement
systems, walkie-talkies, ham radios, portable sound systems, searchlights,
power backup systems, CCTV cameras, and drones for monitoring the festival area.
A control room has been set up for immediate assistance in case of emergencies.
The coronation of Chhtrapati shivaji maharaj on the
auspicious day of Jyeshtha Shuddha Trayodashi, which corresponds to 6th June
1674, was a momentous event, not only for Maharashtra but for the entire nation.
Prominent dignitaries, including Chief Minister Eknath
Shinde, Chief Minister of Goa Pramod Sawant, Union Minister of Culture G.
Kishan Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Minister of Cultural
Affairs Sudhir Mungantiwar, Guardian Minister Uday Samant, Chairman of Raigad
Development Authority Sambhaji Raje Chhatrapati, and many Shivaji devotees will
attend the program at Raigad Fort on 6th June.
Various cultural programs have also been organized at the
Gateway of India from 1st to 7th June, including the grand play 'Janata Raja'
Mahanatya, Rajasthani folk art, Maharashtra folk art, folk arts from Goa and
Gujarat, and demonstrations of Shivaji-era weaponry.
